Henkel Consumer Brands is hiring a Product Development Senior Scientist to join our R&D organization. We are looking for someone with formulation and/or product development experience. You will help create the next generation of Laundry & Home Care, Body Care, and Hair Care products while building technical mastery across multiple product forms.
What you´ll do
- Translate consumer needs into effective product solutions
- Plan, run, and analyze experiments with strong scientific rationale
- Collaborate across Packaging, Testing, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, and Manufacturing
- Present clear, persuasive technical updates to all management levels
- Maintain accurate documentation, safety compliance, and an organized lab
- Drive execution excellence, continuous improvement, and “right‑first‑time” readiness
- Develop formulations, prototypes, and perform stability, physical, and performance testing
- Lead innovation, cost‑saving, material qualification, scale‑up partnerships, and launch‑support demos
What makes you a good fit
- BS or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and data analysis abilities
- Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Familiar with lab safety practices and standard laboratory equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new digital tools
- Experience with formulation and structure–function relationships (preferred)
- Knowledge of DOE, statistical methods, and modeling (preferred)
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with technical equipment (preferred)
- Ability to bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand or walk for extended periods; frequent bench and computer work

The salary for this role is $90,000.00 - $98,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
